This watch incorporates the Timex Flix system, which activates the Indiglo night-light with a simple flick of your wrist. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds.
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

great features but wasn't waterproof (2010-09-18)
I have been genuinely impressed with the features and functionality of this watch for well over a year and a half now. I have really given the chronograph, countdown timer, alarms and golf scorekeeper a workout. All worked flawlessly.
If the watch had held up to the swimming pool it would have been perfect and earned five stars. After one year I wore it for some lap swimming, taking care not to punch any buttons while submerged to preserve the waterproof seal. It fogged right up with water and remained that way for three days.
In error I wore it into the pool again a week ago for less than 5 minutes. The watch is still unreadable due to water droplets inside the crystal six days later.
If you take care to treat it as water resistant (wearing it in the rain was fine) and not submerge it, this is a great watch.
best watch yet (2010-07-24)
I purchased this watch after using cloth, nylon and velcro strap watches in the past. Perfect for swimming, not a lady's classy, lets-go-on-a-romantic-dinner watch, but awesome nonetheless with plenty of features. I finally have a very reasonably priced watch that can take my lifestyle day and night. I can scrub it down at the end of a grueling day or swim laps with it, no problem. Great product, Timex comes through.
So Far Solid, But No 78401 (2009-01-26)
My c. 1997 Time Ironman Triathlon Datalink watch (78401) was recently smashed by standing between my wrist and a falling 40 lb. weight, cracking the frame and its face.
Having never, ever used the Datalink feature, I figured T5H301 model would be a suitable replacement. Overall, functionally, it appears to be; however, I much preferred the fit, display and interface of the 78401. Regarding fit, the band of the 78401 had a large range of swing, enabling it to fit the wrist both snugly and comfortably. On the T5H301, the band has little to no range at the hinge, leaving it sit off my wrist more than is desirable and making the overall feel a bit bulky. Regarding the display and interface, the T5H301 reduces the number of buttons by one, overloading the "increment/increase" onto the Start/Split button. This may simply require getting used to; however, it seems less intuitive. In addition, I find the arrangement of the display tougher to read at a glance with its "crammed into a circle" look than on the 78401 with its "organized into a rectangle" look. Again, this may just take some getting used to.
In short, this seems to be an able and attractive replacement for the 78401; however, if you've been using another Ironman for the last 12 years as I have, the new Timex models like the T5H301 may take some getting used to.
Too Thick (2008-08-28)
Awesome watch, love the look and function but bought the watch because it wasn't as big as the other Timex models. Only problem is that it's really thick that there is a gap between the bottom of the watch and my wrist. Maybe if I had a smaller wrist but it seems excessive. Sorry, other then that, I really do love the watch!
200 meters????? (2008-03-16)
I went down 15 meters with this watch and that's all she wrote-destroyed. Until than, I loved it
