Amazon.com Product Description
Timex gives its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport watch a sleek new look that's a great fit for both men and women. Featuring a full complement of athletic timing features and a striking profile, the Timex Triathlon Sleek T54281 has a black matte resin case and silver metallic top ring that's complemented by a uniquely styled black resin strap. It features three alarms that can be set for daily/weekday/weekend/weekly alarms, two time zones, an all-day white reflector display for easy reading even in direct sunlight, and water resistance to 100 meters. Sport timing functions include:
  • 100-hour chronograph with lap/split
  • On-the-fly recall of lap or split
  • Training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time
  • Total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout) and overall running time
  • Automatic interval repetition counter
  • Forward or backward setting
  • Built-in setting reminders
  • Top pusher for easy access to lap and split

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Great Running Watch, BUT! (2010-05-10)
Great running watch. low profile, very comfortable, large screen, and all of the functions you would want (split/lap with 50 lab memory) and great night light feature. I've had it for 3 years now, but the band has slowly started falling apart (common problem with this watch) and it finally broke the other day. After 3 years of daily use, I don't think its that big of a deal and am looking to buy the exact same watch. Its hard to beat the looks and functions on this watch for its price, just beware that the band will probably start falling apart after a couple years of daily use.

Great Watch!!!! (2010-05-04)
This is the best running watch I've bought yet. (also the first) The only thing I'd like different, is if the lap timer stored lap times better. Other than that, works great.

My favorite watch ever (2010-04-19)
I love this watch! I'm a swimmer and it's great for timing laps, it's perhaps the most comfortable watch I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few. Easy to read and operate and very smart looking.

Nice looking, basic running watch (2010-04-08)
This watch isn't too bulky and is definitely light weight. It has all of the standard Ironman functions, plus the newest interval feature (albeit only 2 intervals).

Many find the strap to be a minus, but I think it's a plus. It just feels and wears lighter than the more common solid rubber/resin band. You might want to check your local Target or Walmart, though, who I found to carry it for $35.

It's all about the band. (2010-03-14)
I like this watch because of the band. I also dislike this watch because of the band.

The band, as you can see, has many open spaces designed into it. The result is a band that allows your skin to breathe. If you run in areas where it is hot and humid (as I do), this is a plus. There is nothing worse than running along, dripping with sweat, and feeling like you have a neoprene strap around your wrist.

Unfortunately, the band also has a tendency to break. This is the third time I've bought this model of watch. On the first one, the band came off up by the buttons. It was impossible to put back on. I ran with it in my pocket until the battery died.

I bought a second one. After awhile, some water got into the timepiece, and it went nuts on me. Faced with one watch that had a busted strap and one that had a busted timepiece, I decided to take the timepiece from the first and put it into the housing of the second, also using the second one's battery. Thus, I created a new watch that I dubbed "Frankentimex." Unfortunately, about six months after that feat of engineering, Frankentimex's band broke near where it was being buckled. After ripping off the band and running (once again) with it in my pocket, it finally gave up the ghost.

So now I'm on number three.

It's a good watch for running. Buy it cheap, though, because it won't last forever. But what does?
