Customer Reviews
Great choice! (2010-05-30)
Great watch, a really nice purchase, easy to use, looks great, the light is a little low, but i guess i cant ask to much for a watch that uses solar battery. over all its a great product! and its one of the best purchased i have had here.
Timex Ironman Solar (2010-02-04)
I got this watch for $39.99 at a local sporting good store. This is an overall great watch. It has 3 different time zones, a chrono function with the ability to split laps, a timer, and 3 alarms. It is water resistant to 200 meters and has a light.
Here's what I like:
Practical, useful, durable
Athletic appearance
Solar powered
Band has a notch that allows it to stay secure so that the extra length of the wristband never flops around
Here's what I don't like:
New design for the buttons are less simple than older timex designs (once you get used to it, it's not an issue)
Frequent "glitches" on the alarm feature where it will not cycle from AM to PM (this problem can be solved by switching to 24 hour time)
Is a bit slow (this problem can be solved by re-synching it with an atomic clock every week or so)
Bottom line:
9 out of 10
If you are looking for a good, durable, functional watch to run, swim, bike, or just keep time with, this watch is excellent. As you can see, all the problems can easily be solved. I would recommend this product.
