Amazon.com Product Description
An all-purpose sporty watch that's especially helpful for watersports, thanks to its water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet), the Timex T77511 Atlantis features a silver watch case with black resin top ring and black polyurethane strap. Timekeeping features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 99-lap counter, 100-hour countdown timer, alarm, and second time zone display with date. It also offers a 5-year battery life.
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.
Customer Reviews
Coulda been a contendah (2010-07-25)
There are a number of good to great things about this watch: Very
accurate, light weight but sturdy, comfortable to wear, easy to read
display.
So why not a five?
If this watch had a recessed crystal which was scratch resistant,
it would rate a five.
Given that I wear the watch for sport/work, a couple of scratches
is not a deal breaker, but it does bug me a little bit.
I would have preferred to pay a little more, and got a product better
designed to resist damage.
Timex Atlantis 100 watch review (2010-03-31)
Timex Atlantis 100 is simply the most accurate, durable, lightweight, feature packed watch you can ever purchase. It is of great value, and the polyurethane strap is waterproof & durable. This strap is more durable & comfortable than the stainless steel version that is also sold for the same watch. When you wear the watch you can hardly feel it is on your wrist, it is thin not bulky. This watch has a large glowing indiglo green display, a night light, chrono(forwards time keeping), timer (backwards timekeeping),2 time zones, alarm for each time zone, hourly chimer and waterproof to 100 Meters.
Simple, elegant, reliable watch (2010-03-16)
The large LCD numbers make the time easy to see, even from a distance. The watch has a thin, elegant profile and a clear display. Basic functions (chronometer, alarm, timer) work as expected. The option to turn off sound is nice. Only two complaints:
1) when the Indiglo button is pressed, the watch emits a soft high-pitched whine
2) the watch face scratches easily
Overall a good looking and functional digital watch.
The watch I've been looking for (2010-02-26)
I was looking for a watch to replace my old broken Ironman Triathlon that I have had for many years. I was very happy to find this watch after buying and returning a different Ironman to Amazon. It is very low profile on the top of my wrist, the numbers are very easy to read, and the style is very classic (reminds me of a watch I had just like it in the 1990's). I'm not sure what is different about the strap compared to my old one, but it is very comfortable. The only downside I have found in this watch compared to my previous ones is that the face isn't inset slightly, so I've already got a few scratches on the face. Other than that, I couldn't be happier.
Good, solid Timex watch (out of production??) (2009-11-29)
A great, practical wrist watch with all of the basic features I wanted, especially the dual time zones, helpful when traveling on business. Other features include indigo lighting, alarm, stop watch and timer (these are the minimums I look for).
My first Timex Atlantis wore out several years ago. Fortunately, I had another in reserve, but when I had to recently replace the battery in that watch, decided I needed to purchase another for future use. However, quickly found out that the model was no longer carried by local retailers. Amazon came to the rescue and I was able to make this purchase. I'm guessing the watch is no longer in production (probably because I like it??).
Recommend this watch, if you can find it, to anyone needing a good basic time piece.
